Armidale Naturopathic and Holistic Healing (ANHH) aims to provide a professional service to individuals wanting to live a healthy and disease free life or who are suffering from an acute health condition and prefer to use holistic and drug-free methods for recovery.
The primary method is to promote optimal health with treatments that are short-term, simple, and affordable, and lifestyle advice that is sustainable. Symptom management is used as second best option. In holistic care, the only limit to what can be achieved is the capacity of the body to recover.
The treatments do not replace standard medical care: they are intended to support general health, not manage specific disease states. The modalities of treatment offered include naturopathic medicine, homeopathic medicine and kinesiology. The clinic also runs an in-house nutritional, herbal, and homeopathic dispensary service to its clients.
The clinic is now partnered with the Southern Cross University's National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine.
The ANHH clinic was founded by the pharmacist and naturopathic practitioner George Papadopoulos in 2021.
The basic founding principle for the clinic has been to provide simple, efficient, cost-effective treatments that holistically support human health and recovery from disease.
The clinic moved to its current location at the Armidale Specialist Centre Annex in 2022. In 2023, the clinic partnered with the Southern Cross University's National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine to provide training opportunities for future practitioners.
If current trends continue, health expenditure will continue to balloon and risk crippling the economy and society. Helping people stay healthy is of paramount importance to prevent this from occurring.
Much of modern concepts of holistic healing revolve around the body, its nutrients and toxins. This pathway may produce good results, but it doesn't necessary provide deeper healing and resilience. Humans are not simply a skin bag full of living chemistry that requires careful balancing with the assistance of a laboratory.
The ANHH clinic aims to provide the region with a model of holistic care that is sustainable and reduces overall health costs, whilst improving the enjoyment of life through better mental, emotional and physical health.
There is also a strong commitment to furthering the future of effective holistic healing modalities, research and education of future practitioners.
What We Believe In
The practitioners of the clinic work as clinicians and not as salespersons. They are expected to work as efficiently as possible, refer when appropriate and not over service.
In general, practitioners do not recommend supplements, herbs or other complementary products unless there is a clear reason for it.
Supplements will be recommended for the shortest duration necessary and clients empowered to manage the dose and the treatment course.
The clinic does not engage in any contractual arrangements with suppliers that includes promoting specific products over equivalent products on the market.
The clinic holds a limited number of ‘practitioner-only’ products to facilitate timely treatment. Clients are at liberty to request prescriptions for supply through alternate retail outlets.
Practitioners will ensure that clients have considered standard medical options of treatment for significant and dangerous disease states.
